Refugee Week 2011




Refugee Week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events that celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK, and encourage a better understanding between communities. 


Refugee Week 20 - 26 June 2011

2011 marked the 60th anniversary of the Refugee Convention. Lots of events took place all across the UK, all of which explore refugee experiences.

Launch event in Sheffield

The Sheffield launch event of Refugee Week took place on 20th June 2011. Sheffield's diverse refugee and international community came out in their numbers. The event was hosted in partnership with MARCO, Rainbow's End charity, Northern Refugee Centre and The Welcome Centre in Burngreave.
