Benefits

Benefits are a form of financial assistance from the government or local council to help cover or assist with basic living costs for those without sufficient income or savings.

Refugees, and those granted Humanitarian Protection, Discretionary Leave or Indefinite Leave to Remain are eligible to claim for any mainstream benefit available to a UK citizen.

Asylum Seekers and Failed Asylum seekers are not eligible for benefits as they should be supported by the Border and Immigration Agency if eligible.
