How to set up a Women's Conversation Club

Are you an organisation or an individual who would like to support refugee and asylum seeking women living in your area? If there is not already a Women’s Conversation Club running in your area, why not set one up?!

The Northern Refugee Centre can offer you the following support in setting up a group:

•    Model policies and procedures
•    Model Newsletters and publicity
•    English practise worksheets
•    Ideas and contacts for activities
•    Advice and support in recruiting volunteers and group-users
•    Training for volunteers
•    Temporary on-site support at the group from an NRC Community Development Worker

NRC also offers training to individuals and organisations who would like to set up a Women’s Conversation Club.

The Northern Refugee Centre has also produced a HANDBOOK on how to set up and run a Women's Conversation Club. To download the HANDBOOK click here.
