Basic Asylum Law and Procedure

Training material for a course introducing those with no background in this area to the basics of UK asylum law and practice. You will also need to add to this:

• Diagram showing procedure for service of notices of decision and lodging appeals
• Diagram showing procedure if appeal lodged outside time limits
• Diagram showing procedure on appeals once lodged
• Diagram showing special rules for service of Judge's determination in asylum appeals
• Diagram showing process of applications for reconsideration etc.

Researching Country information on the Internet

Training material on how to use the internet to access the main sites with information on human rights in countries of origin.

You will also need:

• Examples of IND refusal letters

Training material on how to prepare a basic bundle for an asylum appeal
